1. These terms

These terms govern the sale of tickets to Polaris Blockchain Week and your attendance at the event. Buying a ticket means you accept them. If you buy on behalf of a company, you confirm you may bind that company.

2. Tickets and payment

• All prices are shown excluding VAT; VAT is added at checkout where applicable.
• A ticket is confirmed only once payment has cleared and you have received a confirmation email.
• Tickets are personal. A ticket may be transferred to a colleague free of charge up to 48 hours before the Summit opens by writing to tickets@example.org.
• Reduced-rate tickets (student, community) may be checked at the door. If you cannot show valid proof of eligibility, you may be asked to pay the difference.
• Reselling tickets above face value, or using them in a promotion, is not permitted without our written consent.

3. Cancellations and refunds

• Cancel more than 30 days before the Summit: full refund minus a 10% administration fee.
• Cancel 30 days or less before the Summit: no refund, but you may transfer your ticket as described above.
• If we cancel the event outright, you receive a full refund of the ticket price. We are not liable for travel or accommodation costs.
• If we have to move the event, your ticket stays valid for the new dates; if you cannot attend, you may request a refund within 14 days of the announcement.

4. Programme changes

Speakers, session times, tracks and side events are indicative and may change. A change to the programme is not grounds for a refund.

5. At the venue

You must wear your badge at all times and follow the instructions of venue staff and our Code of Conduct. We may refuse entry to, or remove, anyone who behaves in a way that endangers or harasses others, without a refund.

6. Recording

Sessions are photographed and filmed, and the recordings may be published. By attending you accept that you may appear in the background of such material. If you would rather not appear, tell the registration desk and we will do our best to accommodate you.

7. Liability

We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost or stolen belongings, or for anything outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury or fraud caused by us. Where liability does arise, it is capped at the price you paid for your ticket.

8. Law

These terms are governed by Dutch law, and disputes go to the competent court in Rotterdam.
